[WIN] "Couldn't discover supported formats" error in Reference 4.2 or lower

When launching the Systemwide app on a Windows system, you may get the following error message: "Couldn't discover supported formats". This guide provides a solution.

If this happens, please check if the output device Systemwide is routed to is configured as a stereo device. Systemwide currently only supports a stereo configuration, so you'll need to change that setting.

To do that, open Windows Sound Control Panel (type 'Sound' in Windows search bar) and find your audio device listed under the Playback section. Select the device, click 'Configure', and make sure it's set to Stereo.
