"Cannot locate the microphone" error ('jumping mic' on screen)

If the software is failing to locate the microphone correctly for more than 10 seconds, you will see a "Cannot locate the microphone" error. To resolve this error, please make sure that you are using the same audio interface for input and output, and have not changed the interface settings (sample rate, buffer size) after you first launched the Reference 4 Measure app. You will have to start over if you changed your audio interface settings.
